Oh? Don't really know about that. He seemed to loathe everyone equally to me, but I didn't really pay attention. Well, everyone except my cousin, I guess.
*That guy doesn't like humans? Well, neither does Nana, really, but they could all go to the Hells. Dragon's really nice. Silly Elves with their silly prejudices.*
Hm? Yes, she runs it. Shady business? What kind of shady business? She never really talks business with us.
*Sits down on the couch, but not right next to him.*
Yeah, they are. Tirith's a big pain in the ass, but that's cool.
My family? Hm. It's a bit messed-up, I suppose. I have a very big family actually, but we rarely see each other. I've mostly been hanging out with my sister, my mom and my uncle Armagor.

"Well, it was just something I heard once and decided to never, ever test. Councillor Lunaria is pretty damn good with that sword of his, and his magic is nothing to sneer at. I just keep out of the guy's way.
Uh, the very illegal kind. Hiding criminals, storing stolen goods... at least, that's what the rumor mill says. There has to be some proof in it, though. The Council raided the place awhile back under the resident Holier than Thou."
[Dragon chuckles and smiles.]
"Yeah, part of the reason you got to love them, though.
Messed up, eh? I take it that's why you left?
Sister? Oh hey, was that... uh... Eirien?"

Well, I don't suppose he's councillor because he's got pretty red eyes. Sounds like a plan. *Blinks* Wow. I didn't know that. Yeah. Maybe I'll have them, some day. Will be interesting to see if they're brats like me. *Nods* That's right. They're control freaks, and, well, they're just messed up. Attract family trouble like magnets. Very big magnets at that. Yep. She's my twin sister...

[Dragon laughs at the first part and then at the part about brats.] "Hey, a parents curse: 'You will have kids just like you'" [Dragon stretches and nods as he listens.] "Yeah, never liked other people controlling my life either. Trouble, eh? Well, some families have few, others have way, way too many. Big magnets? Ah, ok. Must be cool having a sibling."

Exactly. *Nods* I hate it. Especially since we moved in with my grandfather, he always seems to find us wherever we go. Oh, I should think you can't get much more trouble than us. I've got a half-demon cousin, a ladykiller uncle, control-freak mother, my dad died before we were even born, my cousin Cat supposedly gets herself nearly killed on a daily basis, the list goes on and on and on and on. Yes, it is. We're a good team. Don't know where she is now though, that's a first. But you kinda need your privacy after so many years, too, so we'll be alright. How about your family?

[Dragon blinks.] "Wow. That's... impressive." [He smiles.] "Privacy is good, yeah. Course, too much privacy is lonely most of the time. My family?" [Dragon stops, thinking about it.] "Hm... well, they weren't anyone spectacular. My father was part of the guard of a city called Svitri in the Kingdom of Cross. He was a pretty ok guy, but he really got on my nerves sometimes, and my mom was having a lot of health problems. I can't really say much else, really. I'm a runaway too, you see. Left when I was around five and never came back. Which kind of left me out of the education loop... should have ran after they sent me to school. "

*Rolls her eyes*
Impressive record for disasters, yeah.
*Smiles back*
I wouldn't know lonely. Never was alone for longer than half an hour at a time.
*Thinks*
Have you been lonely, often?
*Listens*
Wow. That's cool. So, who taught you how to read and stuff? Never went to school either, me, but our mother taught us. And, where did you learn to fight like that? Looked like you were born with a sword in your hand, it did.
*Smiles as she finds she's relaxing around him. That's good.*

[He laughs and leans back on the couch, putting his arms behind his head. Very casual.]
"Yeah, I have. I like the freedom and stuff, but sometimes I wish I had someone to talk to. So far, Cristopher is one of the few guys who sits down and chats about anything other than 'who are bettar at sword. Rar.'
Hey, thanks! I'm actually very self taught in both word and sword, with a few pointers from the occasional helper that walked into my life.
I learned how to read through the maps, actually. Someone told me those little marks on them actually meant something and I was too curious to leave it at that. The sword...well, got help there from several people. I learned a lot in my travels."

*She glances at him and smiles to herself. Whoa. She laughs at his comment on the conversations.*
Yeah, I can see it's important to talk to people.
*She ponders that perhaps that's part of the problem- never really talked to Nana, did she?*
Oh, cool! Well, you're very good at it, never seen anything like it.
Wow, that's very smart!

*She keeps looking at him.*
Hm, give me a moment, I may come up with some sooner or later.

*She looks at him for a while more, then starts laughing, half out of nerves, half because she just can't think of anything to ask and she thinks that is funny. Elli lost for words- Gods, Inni should know..!*
