*Not too terribly far from where Mr Trevain and Mr Tiburon are sitting, there is a slight disturbance in the bushes. Eiliant and his girlfriend, Nerkori, are having a good time together, out of sight from the path and completely oblivious to the two gentlemen sitting on the bench there.*

Mr Tiburon shakes his head in slight annoyance at the disturbance.
"Oh dear." he mutters. "If you object to our... company, we can move somewhere more private? Otherwise, please continue."

"...so that is how it came to pass, really. Hm..." The image looks up, staring into the deep black skies. A mostly lightless night. "It seems we have spent quite a lot of time on this. Is that all that you needed, or did you wish to meet again another time?"

"I would love to meet another time, if that would be alright with you." Mr Tiburon smiles, packing up the various notebooks and pens he went through during the telling. "For one, the story is not yet quite finished, and then I would like to know your thoughts on your brother- your full brother, I mean- and I am very interested still in various recent events and the people that played parts in them, such as-" He takes a note out of his pocket. "Lord Brightshield, recently disappeared; Mr Zohar, who has proven himself a bit of an enigma; this fellow Kaitan Seraphim, also recently disappeared; Miss Exo, who has refused to talk to me; and- of course- Miss Celstes. Among other most interesting people."

"Of... course." Satorius said, hesitantly. Brother? He shook his head, banishing the thought. "I shall see you then."

Mr Tiburon stands and bows. "Thank you. It was a true pleasure and a priviledge, Mr Trevain." He nods again, and starts heading down the darkened path.

*Taenim wanders quietly through the park.*
"Such a nice day."
*He whispers to himself with a calm smile.*

Charith saunters through the park. She is pushing a small device- a large crate with rickety wheels, furnished with pillows and blankets- in which sits a small black-skinned, white-haired girl of perhaps a year or so, bolt up right, crowing cheerfully. By her side are two slightly older Elven children, big furry hats covering their ears, clutching each other a little unhappily against the cold.
Charith smiles at the toddler and nods politely at the man that they pass on their walk.

*The man returns a kind nod, his entire face curling up into a pleasant smile at the sight of the child.*
"Keep warm."
*He directs the same smile at the two elven children before continuing on toward a bench at the side of the path. He sits here contently, his head tilted back and his perfectly white eyes focused on the clear sky. A few shadows stir abnormally at his feet.*

*Old thoughts dance through the Elder's mind as he sits and stares up at the sky. Long forgotten events and conversations, people and places and moments and words all lost to the sands of time. Thoughts of this place and others far, far away swarmed Taenim's moment of reflection. Eluria, Seraphina, Terisia. Eluria... So much happened here for Taenim, and yet he rarely took the time to visit. It was here that Thought discovered the end of uncertainty. This place. It was here that so much was sacrificed and, now, so much gained. A stone scarab, a little girl, a tortured, ever-selfless student. An innocent man gone mad. All lost.*
"But we are here today, at least, to mourn them."
*He whispers the words to the evening stars, takes a few seconds of a new year for himself, and stands. Taenim continues soundlessly through the streets.*

Charith waves at the man as he goes and tries to cheer up the children by singing them a song. She is not a very good singer and the children do not warm up to her attempts. She hands one a bag of crumbs for the ducks, but they hold it lamely and just stand there. The babysitter sighs unhappily.
