"Oh..." Mauri smiles, blushes a little and waits for Ignis to tell more.

"Anyways, the seas are great. The underseas are kind of weird, the cities there all very strange and hard to grasp. I wonder what kind of people lived in those cities?" Ignis leans back in his chair, his eyes closed and his arms behind his head.

"I'm sure they were grand." The girl smiles dreamily. "Noble people with noble causes. I wish I could have lived in those times."

"Yeah, it's possible. Must have been great times." Ignis said. Noble people were usually shmucks.

Mauri smiles a little bashfully. "I'm sorry. It's easy to dream when you have so little to hope for." She flushes and stands. "Can I get you anything? Uh, you must be getting hungry."

"Never apologize for your dreams." Ignis said. He nodded happily. "Food sounds great! What do ya got?"

"I'll get it." she says smilingly. She walks into the kitchen and Ignis can hear her moving around stuff, opening cupboards and so on.

Ignis grins up until she's gone, at which point he sighs and slides his feet onto the table, resting one over the other as he stared at the roof. So, what now, fire hazard?

There is a lot of clanking, the kind of sounds you get when you are desperately searching through stuff, but eventually Mauri comes back out, proudly carrying a small chipped plate with two very thin slices of bread, each of which is covered in a very thin layer of what looks like grease. She holds out the plate for him.
"Here you go."

"Thanks!" Ignis grabs a piece and immediately starts munching, rolling the masticated remains over in his mouth as he spoke. "So, uh- *gulp* -after I finish, I got to check on a few friends and stuff. You don't mind if I occasionally drop in and check on ye, do ye?"

Mauri's face falls when he says he has to go, but she cheers up considerably when he indicates he might come back.
"Oh please do! This is such a lonely place."

Ignis grins and winks, holding up a thumb while he watched her with one eye closed. "Sure thing." He then goes about munching on the food again. Oki, she was nice. He kind of liked her.

Mauri smiles happily and watches Ignis finish the two slices of bread, which is soon enough accomplished. It is not exactly filling.

"Thanks Mauri. Look, I got to go now, but I'll make sure to come back, drop by, and see about making life just a little exciting. K?" Ignis stands, walks over to her, and grins. "K. So, see ya later, right?"

Mauri nods, thinks, and digs out a little necklace from under her clothes. She unclasps it and holds it out to Ignis: it is a blackening silver chain with a small flat round pendant, inset with a very tiny ruby (or maybe a red piece of glass).
"Now you have to come back." she smiles bashfully.
