The woman sobs and rather shakily takes the drink from Ignis. She drinks it too quickly and ends up hiccuping and sobbing at the same time. Presumably not bad-looking usually, she is now the picture of misery.
"H-he just l-left *hic* me... H-he just *hic* ran..."

"Shhhhh." Ignis said as he ran a hand through her hair, smiling down at her. Huh. She was rather pretty. Just get those tears away, and she'd be a little ray of sunshine. "I'm here now. Ya got nothin' to worry about, chummer."

The woman swallows a hiccup and leans her head against Ignis' hand like a trusting puppy. She tries to calm herself down and wipes some tears away with the back of her hand, but despite her best efforts some more keep coming.

Alexander's grin fades a little as she watches the red-head and the sobbing woman, she even falls serious. She may be many things but she knew when something wasn't funny and when she was cramping someone, so she turns around and eyes over the corpses, perhaps there was still life in one or two? Couldn't hurt to just make sure.

All corpses appear to be extremely dead, in the manner of corpses.

It was to be expected, she figured. But still...
Alexander sniffs as she turns away from the last corpse burnt to a crisp. It's how it goes. It always does. Forces striking at random. No matter how much Structured Society tried to order things and regulate events to fall into neat little predictable pigeon holes this kind of stuff always happened. Always.
Alexander glances over at Ignis and the devastated woman and walks off towards the door, pausing only briefly as she passes a chair and launches a violent kick at it before she continues out the door. Once outside she steps to one side and leans with her back to the wall of the tavern, one knee bent up with the foot resting against the wall, arms crossed and her head bent down and a distinct frown on her face as she stares at the ground.
It was the way of the world. The way of Entropy. Which was the same thing.
Didn't mean it was always pretty.

No one disturbs Alexander for a good while. But after a time she can hear clanking down the street, and a small regiment of guardsmen come marching through the mists towards the tavern, looking extremely self-imortant. She counts about five of them, their faces completely obscured by their helmets.
"Ho, you there." one of them calls to her in a low bass. "Civilian."

Ignis holds the woman against him, brushing her hair to the side. He'd offer her a drink, but he didn't think that would do to well right now. That's fine, he'd stick with her until she was better. Trauma was bad, but it usually cleared after the initial reaction. "Hey, where do you live? I'm going to take you home. Take you somewhere safe."

"Not too far from here."
She smiles through her tears.
"Please."

Ignis grins and puts his arms around her. "Ok, going up!"
Then he lifts her, putting her over his shoulder. "You even get the luxury cruise and all, no walking necessary. Where to, mademoiselle?"

"Ack!"
The woman starts laughing.
"Number 16C, on 81st."

"Off we go, then. You'll have to remind me when we get close, and give me directions occasionally. Don't know the place and it is a pain to make out numbers in this sea spit." Ignis grins and walks out of the bar, whistling happily as he carries her off.

"Okay..." She laughs.
Ignis passes Alexander, who stands outside with five guardsmen. The guards give Ignis an astonished look, but they do not stop him. They look a little too surprised to.
"Take a right..." the girl says, pointing down the street.

Jakobim slows down when he sees the group of guards. He stops near them and takes a moment to catch his breath.
