At the Bazar several streets have been set up to serve as the marketplace. Merchants hawk their goods and services to housewives and the servants of the richer households alike. Most of the general things can be bought here. If you're interested in anything more exotic or rare, you're better off at one of the shops at the Bazar, where they'll be more likely to fulfill your wishes.

*Cat and Tirith wander the market. He is taking in the place in silence, his spatula tucked in the side of his trousers. Every time he sees anything or anyone that might either be an orc or some other threat to himself or his mother, he puts his hand on the handle and tries to look stern and threatening. She smiles and buys him a real wooden sword and a belt at the stalls*

Thanks!
*He beams happily and trades the spatula for the sword, then lets her put the belt around him. Staying as close to her ask he can while still trying to give the impression he's a great independant warrior, he waves his sword and wings at the hawkers. One of them actually gives him a cookie. Munching it happily, he eventually puts the sword under the belt and takes his mother's hand*
Mom... Do you speak elven? Could you teach me? What is "mom" in elven?
*He licks his fingers and plucks the cookie crumbs from his shirt*
You know, that man you kissed? Do you love him? Do you love him more than my real dad? Are you going to marry him? Will I get new brothers then?
*He tries to think of other things that would be of direct interest to him*
Are there any other kids here? D'you think they'll laugh at me?

When he reaches them, he walks alongside them.* Hello Cat. I heard you already have a new Inn here.

*Leads him by the hand*
Yes, I do, and of course I can. Mom is "nana".
*She smiles at him and blushes at his next line of questioning*
Yes I do... He's been my best friend for a long time, but I didn't realise until recently, I think... Love him more than- yes, now I do. Wasn't always so- but yes, I do. You will like Satorius too, if you don't already. He's very wise, and very kind.
*Blushes fiercely*
I- ehm- don't know about that. Bit early for it- but if anything of the sort happens, you'll be the first to know, okay?
*Tries to fight the blush down, but it'll take a bit longer*
Yes, there are, and no, they won't. Either because they are just nice kids- I know a few of those- or because if they do, I'll kick them so hard that they'll regret ever having grown a behind.
*Smiles as Jing joins them*
Hey! Yes, I got one. Bit of a weird one, the Evensong, perhaps you heard of it? The last owner went missing after being summoned to court, I believe. Tirith, meet Jingzu, you've seen him before.
*Tirith waves at Jingzu but just holds his mother's hand, looking half-mesmerized at a stall full of candy*

The last person had heavy ties to a certain group. They smuggled him out for a hefty price. I have the transaction in one of my books. I find that group to be useful. *He waves back, noticing the look at the candy. He stops at the store and buys whatever candy Tirith was looking at and hands it to him.* He left in a hurry. You might find a few of his things still there.

*Blinks as the strange man buys him a bag of toffees*
Er- thanks!
*He puts one toffee in his own mouth, then hands one to his mother and offers one to Jingzu too. Only then does he spot the sword*
Whoa!

*Smiles*
Very useful indeed.
*Gets a toffee from Tirith*
Thanks.
*Gives Jingzu a happy-grateful look for buying the candy for the boy*

Oh yes, he does. Ah well, he's five. Can't say I remember much of my brother or myself at five years old, but it strikes me as pretty natural.
*Munches on the toffee*

*He puts another toffee in his mouth, not having finished the first one yet, then lets go of Cat's hand, and walks up to Jing. He extends his hand*
I'm Tirith. Could I see your sword? Have you killed many orcs, like Corellon?

Have you killed many orcs, like Corellon? It is. It's still amusing to watch, though. Polite, aren't you? *He shakes his hand* Jingzu of the House Lunaria. A friend of your mother's. You can see my sword if you get your mother's permission. Yes. Lost count a long time ago.

You did?
*Grows wide-eyed*
Could you show me? Could you teach me? Do you have any stories?
*Pulls his mother's skirt*
Can I, nana, can I?

*She smiles happily*
Yes.
*Chuckles at Tirith*
Of course you can, but remember to look with your eyes, not your fingers.
*Turns back to Jingzu, noticing the looks people around give them*
You hold quite some authority in this city, I see.

That's up to your mother. I wouldn't mind, though. *He unsheaths his blade and holds the hilt in one hand resting the blade in the other, presenting the blade to Tirith as Jingzu speaks to Cat* Yes. I'm on the council here.
