A small discrete sign outside declares this to be Divine Delights, a bar (to say it vulgarly) to the better-offs. Inside, the place subtly screams 'Money', the clientele even more so. Dark wood, big leather armchairs, and a large fireplace dominate the meeting-room (think gentlemen's society). Unaccompanied women are barely tolerated to come in. The (male) staff's quiet, competent, and snobs to a man. They'll grovel at their social superiors, and show barely disguised contempt for all others.

*in the morning the cleaning crew comes in. Several of the staff keep a keen eye on the cleaning-ladies, making sure the riffraff doesn't steal anything, and doesn't sleep on the job.*

Validus walks into the bar... [ooc: ...ow...] ...and looks around the place. His magic filled eyes settle on the armchairs near the fireplace and he walks in that direction, not waiting to be addressed.

*Lever walks over to Validus, his usual snobbery enhanced by being ignored.*
Goodday my lord. *with the hint that a real lord would have waited to be adressed.*
How can we be of service? .o0(And get rid of you?)

*Lever walks over to Validus, his usual snobbery enhanced by being ignored.* Goodday my lord. *with the hint that a real lord would have waited to be adressed.* How can we be of service? .o0(And get rid of you?) Validus ignores the hired help and takes a seat in the armchair facing the fire. Oh how he loved pushing buttons. After sitting, he finally turns his attention and magic filled eyes to the man who addressed him.Hm? Oh, so sorry. I didn't notice you. Would you mind getting me a drink, good sir? All with a hint of "a *REAL* lord wouldn't acknowledge your pathetic existence and, in my country, you would already be dead"

Certainly my lord. What would you like?
*he stands next to Validus' chair, his whole stance one of servitude.*

Certainly my lord. What would you like? *he stands next to Validus' chair, his whole stance one of servitude.* Validus looks upon the man with an uncaring, arrogant expression befitting one of his station. It was interesting returning to the Game.Attempt to surprise me.

Yes my lord.
*he bows and walks off. A moment later a waiter approaches Validus, carrying a small tray with a glass on it. He sets the glass on the table next to Validus' chair, and departs, not looking or speaking to Validus the whole time.
The glass contains scuppernut wine, made from the a very rare fruit which makes it very expensive to produce. It's very sweet, but not annoyingly so, and lingers for quite a while after being drunk.*

Validus smells the wine before taking a sip. Not bad, not bad at all. Certainly not the best, but much better than he thought this place could produce. He waited for the man he was supposed to meet, silently gazing into the flames.

*the staff walk around silently serving the other gentlemen here, only talking when spoken to and not interfering for the other part.*

The merchant Kraxas, a man of ill-repute in Eluria but a great deal of money, walks in and waits to be addressed, unlike Validus. He spots his new customer and frowns nervously inwardly. A Vestran... he didn't know much about them, but he really hoped what he heard was exagerated.

Goodday sir, how can we be of service today?

*Lever walks up to Kraxas. Merchants, bah. But rich...* Goodday sir, how can we be of service today? Kraxas speaks rapidly as if speaking at auction or a horse race in his oh so annoying ratty little voice as he bows deeply to Lever. He thinks himself a great player in the game... really, he is worse than an ametaur.Hello again good friend Lever, how are you how are you? Tell me, did you get a customer today? Might want to, say, talk to him, yes yes? Maybe keep some ears from wondering close? Kraxas winks and tries to gesture to Validus with a slight jerk of his head that should have only been readable by Lever. He failed utterly and everyone in the bar could get the "hidden" meaning behind it.

*he gives no indication to Kraxas' horrible failing at being subtle.*
Sir, absolute privacy is what we provide here.
*That being said, he leads Kraxas to Validus, leaving the pair alone right after. If either want a drink, a waiter will come over to them.*

If either want a drink, a waiter will come over to them.* Oh excellent excellent thank you so much, yes thank you Lever. Kraxas immeddiatly orders a drink, one of the cheaper wines available. Validus doesn't look at him at all, instead sipping his wine and staring into the fire. Kraxas tries to outwait him, but after ten minutes his puny patience collapses. So what did you call me for, hm hm? Validus sips his drink and sets down the glass before turning his gaze to the man, who froze and was pretty sure his heart was in his throat. Creepy eyes...You have been stealing from a friend of mine. I would ask that you stop.Kraxas blinks and thinks over his list... who did he piss off today?
