On his way around the city, Dominic spotted an area filed with mansions and overall big houses, pointing to the fact that there could be riches for him to ... transfer ... into his collection. His phantom steed reared as he pulled the reins a bit harder than he wanted to. Concentrating on the product of his powers, he calmed it down and motioned it to advance towards the closest one: an apparently rich villa, shielded from the outside by a large stone wall, accessed only by a see-through iron gate which allowed anyone passing by to glance at the several houses within the villa. All filled with decorative objects ranging from vases to wall artistic drawings. A sign hanging overhead beared precious information for Dominic: "The Artistic Unicorn Villa, Home to the most Famous of Works". A smirk formed on his faced as he considered his possibilities. How could he get in, take his prize and get out unnoticed and without killing or permanently injuring anyone? He surely had lots of spells to aid him for that purpose. He considered himself a thief, not an assassin. He had only killed three people in his whole life and it had been a long life, indeed. It was a matter of his survival versus the victims's. He prized his survival higher. The ending was inevitable.
He rearranged his silvered hair, so it formed a more organized pony tail. His movements couldn't be hindred due to such trivial details. It was a professional rule. His horse still had several hours in the material world remaining, so he let him stay "parked" near the walls separating the villa from the outside world. First he had to make sure he knew the future crime scene.
He took an eyelash encased in a bit of gum arabic and held it in the palm of his hands. He spoke a few words in elfic ("May I fail my enemy's eyes") and vanished from sight, becoming invisible as soon as he spoke those words. He returned the eyelash to his component pouch and approached the iron gate. He extended his arms and spoke some more elven words: "May the supernatural become natural light.". Bluish colours appeared in front of him, as far as 60 ft., pointing that the courtyard was filled with magical effects. One of them was a tad on the powerful side, the other was simple magic. The simple one didn't worry him but the more powerfull one did. It seemed to cover all the space he had cast the spell on and it also seemed to go further. He knew one spell that had that capability, but he was a bit unsure as to wether someone would go through the training necessary to learn it. He decided to expect the worse. He used a simple but useful spell he had learned a long time ago but which he used often. His hands drawed a circle in the air and then his right hand beat the circle in its center, sending an almost invisible blue layer that hit the auras he was still seeing on the courtyard. It spireled for a brief time with the bigger aura, unable to produce any effect. It then acted on the smaller aura, breaking it in a matter of seconds.
This isn't good... He whispered to his familiar.
His mouth weaved one more elven expression ("May my body accompany my soul in space." and he promptly appeared on the other side of the courtyard, next to what appeared to be the front door. His eyes were a bit flashed from the journey so he just crouched there, waiting for his sight to clear. It cleared in a few seconds and he was able to see the whole courtyard, a few wooden doors leading to the inside of each house. One of them oppened, one located to the left of his position, and two guards came out, talking and carrying two chairs each. Dominic smirked once more and took a bit of wool from his component pouch, blowing it away as several voices began to rise from every corner of the courtyard, calling the guards, insulting and asking them silly questions.
Hey, wonder bees!
The sun rises in the afternoon when a monkey strips a banana... The end of the world is near! TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER!!! Jack Nickolson would love to meet you. You two look really confortable with each other. Got milk?
The voices went on, much to the dismay of the two soldiers who just looked everywhere, searching for the crowd of people talking to them. They dropped the chairs to the ground and unsheathed their swords, going back to back so as if waiting for someone to attack. Dominic made the same spell once more, ending the first willingly, but this time the sounds created were that of roaring animals and a clucking chicken. The guards looked at each other with raised eyebrows. Several other guards appeared in the courtyard bearing arms, looking everywhere for the source of the noise. Dominic distinguished a differently dressed person not bearing any arms. It had a long, greenish robe and a white beard, not too long. Another spellcaster.
.oO(Enough fooling around. Let them have it.)
The elf, reaching for his pocket, took a bit of fleece from it, throwing it to the ground at his feet. The image of a chicken came from the corner of a house, accompannied by the clucking already produced by the sorcerer's previous spell. Every guard looked at it scared, letting go a sigh of relief, as it just pocked the ground with its beak. Then the guards went white at the sight they faced.
