One of the many safe houses of Lorica Vite. This place is highly guarded for obvious reasons. It used to be one of the many fotresses they have in the area, but Alycon had it converted to this purpose the moment Nightshade moved into town. It has many interesting defenses, such as anti-magic fields and Dimensional Anchors that fall in place at the flip of a switch.

She studied the house. It looked impressive, hard to get into. She smiled. Not impossible, though. Hidden, she observed the goings-on, the changing of the guards, who had entrance inside and so on.

The routine is that of most fotresses. The guard captain of this particular place is a woman named Desiree.
Other than that, the place is kept tight-knit. Outsiders aren't let in that often at all, while the ones inside are kept inside for their own safety.

She entertained the idea of going over and claiming refuge, but decided against it. Not enough freedom of movement once inside. She would need something more important than that. Still hidden, she waited for the guard captain to emerge.

After a few hours, a person wearing thick armor walks out and speaks with some of the men. It isn't possible to see her face from behind her helm, but it is very likely that this is the captain.
The smell of the air around Yattara changes slightly... the smell reminds one of a freshly dug grave.

She was about to walk off after the guard captain as she noticed the smell. What in the Abyss? She scowled. Cred, now what? She waited for whatever caused the smell to show up.

Now that isn't a pleasant look on your face.
A scythe appears just in front of Yattara's neck, coming in from behind her. Should she walk forward, she would walk right into the blade.
You don't look like a guard, but if you want to live any longer than a few seconds, you had better tell me what you're doing here and who you are.
The woman just seemed to materialize from nowhere, without a sound or anything else to indicate her presence... save the very soft smell. She has long, raven-black hair with white strands in front, pure white eyes that lack a pupil or iris, an... interesting facial tattoo, and a smirk on her face. The scythe is, apparently, attached to her arm.
The woman made sure they were still out of sight before she started chatting with Yattara.

She rolled her eyes and stood still. Vestrans! Cred.
Míriel Ithildin, I have business inside that building. Who are you, Vestran?

Vera smiles and watches the captain for a bit.
Vera Ur Vashina. So you know about Vestrans, do you? Glad I don't have to explain everything again.
The blade draws a little closer.
What kind of business, dear?

Not moving, she watched the blade come closer.
I do.
Termination.

A man called Kraxas.
Why are you here?

Vera chuckles very softly, so as not to attract much attention. She is pretty clearly amused, though.
Fancy that. I'm here to get rid of the same guy.
She takes the blade away from Yattara's throat, a cruel smile on her lips.
Might as well work together, I guess. Mind answering my other question?

She shrugged. She trusted the Vestran as far as she could throw the woman, but a diversion was always helpful.
As long as you do not get in my way.
She smiled back.
I do mind answering, yes.

Vera seems amused again.
Get in your way? Other way around, I think.
Can't blame a girl for trying. I'll find out eventually.
She looks at the captain for a moment and grins. The captain gasps and falls over as Vera disappears again. The soldiers rush over to the captain and check on her, some screaming for a medic as the smell of the grave fades away.
