An old house, damaged from a rather large explosion a few months ago, is repaired and rebuilt. After several hours of back breaking labour (or in Tylis's case, back braking wand waving), Ark and Tylis finish reconstructing the ancient Mirror Portal. Inside, the building is one room from ground floor to 5th story, although there is a catwalk around the edges of each floor. On the walls, intricate mirror arrays are set, angled to perfection due to hours and hours of work. Covering a hole in the celing is a complicated device of steel and lenses, which when the sun shines on it, it magnifies the ray, and shoots it down as a forceful beam around the mirrors, eventualy shooting down, empowered massively, to the Archway.
The Archway is a beautiful arch, around 9'ft high, crafted of the impossibly rare Flametouched steel found in Eberron. The Archway was not forged by Tylis - though he doesn't admit it, even this craftsmanship is beyond him - it was drawn straight from the ruins where it was found, and kept in a portable hole. At the top of the arch is a huge, red crystal of impossible worth.
When the ray of sunlight strikes the crystal, it generates enough power to activate the Rift, if the relays are connected elsewere. A crackling portal opens, a portal that will take any person to any destination possible. It is the perfect portal, it teleports anyone anywhere with no margin of error. Tylis stands behind a small control panel, again drawn straight out of the ancient ruins, and tinkers with it, while Ark hangs up a sign outside.
The Mirror Rift is open for buisness.
Teleportation without error anywhere.
Price on negotiation.
Operating hours dawn to midday.
If you value your life or sanity, for the love of god don't smash a mirror in here!
