The Academy stands near the centre of town. Fronting on the central park, it is famed for the excellence of its teaching. Scholars from many planes flock here to study, paying their dues in hard coin - or the even more valuable coinage of information, new knowledge.
The buildings themselves stand in a large plot of ground, and are impressively constructed of sandstone that shows the signs of wear and tear but never seem to crumble. The appearance invests the buildings with an aura of age and dignity. No matter what demands are made for space for new tutors and new courses, the Academy can provide.
The Academy offers tuition in both Arcane and Divine magic, but also courses in every field of knowledge known to the Planes. After all, the wizard and priest are well-educated, are they not?
Courses are open to all provided they can pay the dues. The finest tutors available are employed in the honing of the young minds of this and any other City.
The staff bustle about in their robes of office, the dignity of their learning apparent on them.
Rules of the Academy Obey the Terms of Agreement for these boards No fighting or magical attack on one person by another is permitted within the Academy, save for disciplinary purposes. Pupils must show respet to the tutors at al times.

The Academy is governed by the Principal of the College. the principal, recently appointed, is Mellinore Brightshield. The ostensible reason that was given for the retirement of Goren Natrell, his predecessor, was “health problems.”<br> The Principal is assisted by Meldira de Syntrinay, a capable young human woman from a good background.
Day-to-day responsibility for the College rests with four people.
Vice-principal Tordesh is a blunt, outspoken dwarven woman of indeterminate age. She brooks no nonsense from anyone. Her responsibility is the actual structure of the Academy, the support services and the Proctors - the enforcers of Academy discipline. Additionally, she is responsible for mundane course content.
High Clerist Faelara is an Elven noblewoman of the city, known for her piety, virtue and open-handed generosity to those in real need. She is tall for an elf, slender and conscientious to a fault.. Her responsibility is the teaching of divine magic.
Archimage Zekiel, a human male in his late fifties, is renowned for the precise choice of words, and is often referred to by pupils as the Pedant, as he displays his scholastic excellence at every opportunity. He is responsible for the teaching of arcane magic.
Bursar Pyrin is another human male, known to be tight-fisted with money, and extremely picky with accounts. He has to pay for the demands the others make.
The Academy is happy to hire tutors if they fill a particular knowledge gap, or their name would add lustre to the Academy's reputation as the place to go to learn.

(He entered the gates of the Academy to be stopped by a liveried gatekeeper.)
"Good day sir. May I ask your name and purpose in visiting this Academy?"
(He nodded.) "My name is Mellinore Brightshield. I am here to take up a position on the staff."
(The porter bowed.) "Lord Brightshield. Of course. Come this way sir."
(He led the way through the Academy to the offices of the Principal, which now carry Mellinore's name. Inside there are four people - one elfwoman, two humans and a dwarf female - were waiting for him. The porter retires.
Each of the people intoduces themselves - Vice-principal Tordesh, High Clerist Faelara, Archimage Zekiel and Bursar Pyrin.
He introduces himself, invites them to sit down and gets them to explain what they do at the Academy."

(They finish the introductory discussion.)
"Mistress Tordesh. I expect that within the next day or so you will get a visit from a young lady named Eleni NaToril - if that has not already happened. She is under the care of Julia of Hillsdown, the keeper of All Souls Church. She will likely be demanding a wide variety of courses of study.
Educating Eleni will be a big challenge for this institution."
(Tordesh snorted.) "Sir, we can educate anyone in anything. We will assess Miss NaToril's study needs and set a fair charge for her courses."
(He smiled) "Very good."
(The meeting concluded, the four leave. Mellinore thinks for a while then gets up and leave, heading for the Inn. He nodded in passing to the doorman.)

Hi! Can I talk to whoever I need to talk to about enrolling? "That would be Vice-Principal Tordesh. Her office is in the Administrative block. Come this way child." (He turns and walks briskly away.)

(He walks briskly to an office in the block, and knocks on the door. Opening it he speaks to the lady iinside asking if Vice-Principal Tordesh is free. Receiving an affirmative answer he turns and, is a surprised tone, says) "The Vice-Principal will see you, Miss."

Her hair braids of its own accord, a perfect copy of Julia's braid. She opens the door, walks in, and waits to be addressed.\

(The dwarfwoman behind the desk looks up at the entrance, waves Eleni in and gestures to a seat, then carries on reading a paper.
After a few minutes she scrawls something on the paper, puts it down, blots it and places it in a tray. She looks up.)
"Yes?"

She plays a few mind games while waiting. When the dwarf lady speaks Eleni smiles pleasantly.\ Hi! I'm looking at enrolling in this school and wanted to check it before I brought my guardian.

"Well, this is the Academy of the Twin Pah. I'm sure you must have heard of it.
We specialise in teaching students to grasp divine magic or arcane magic, as they wish. Although they are our primary foci, we also teach courses in many other subjects. Indeed we pride ourselves on having the widest range of courses available anywhere. Whatever you want to learn, we can teach it. For a fee, of course.
Your guardian is?"
