"Nothing yet. I just feel like keeping you here for now. As a material witness, of course." The man leans on the halberd once he grabs it back off the wall.

"Ok. I'll send some people to look into that... once they get here. Did you want protection in the meantime, sir? This is a dangerous time for pointy-ears." The guard stifled a yawn."No thank you." The next time the guard looks away, Toris touches the tip of his ear with one finger-- perhaps to reassure himself that he is, indeed, a pointy-ear.

Themis grumbles a little.
"Yeah. Well, I didn't see anything. I can't recall a thing. Ask Mr Toris, he knows better than I do."

Toris looks at her, apparently confused.

"From the look on your friend's face, I'd say that that is an outright lie. I can now arrest you on obstructing justice, but I'll give you another chance. How about it?"

"Are you sure that is necessary, guard sir? I most certainly do know better than she does."

Themis grumbles a little and crosses her arms over her chest.
"Obstructing justice, whose justice, I like to know. You're not doing a thing about that ugly idiot who tried to bash Mr Toris' door in, you just let him skip away and you can't even be bothered to follow after. But good citizens who try to help in your inquiries get threatened with I-don't-know-what just because you don't like the shape of their ears or the height of their head or the religious conviction they have that you don't happen to share. I won't be intimidated quite that easily, you know. Mr Toris has already told you all I know and more, so there is no reason whatsoever for me to hang around here. In fact, there is all the more reason for me to get back to my camp and see if I can find that nasty troublemaker hiding there between the real Athar, and if I do to chuck him out, because we don't need nasty pieces of work like that, and inform the authorities. The longer you stand here and try to intimidate me, the more chance the actual culprit has to get away. I hope you realise."

"Considering how much magic is used in this city, missy," The guard began, a little bored. "Do you honestly think it would do a damn bit of difference if I chased him through Hells and Portals? He probably isn't in the direction you told me, because he probably went poof, so I'm trying to get as much information as possible so we can make a sketch... well, not that we need one now, but still more information is good. Then we can set it on the Elurian wanted posters, so that every guard will know what they are dealing with and who they need to catch. I'm not here to intimidate you, Athar. I'm here to do my job and I'm not happy that you're trying to dodge out of helping Eluria. Which is where you are. Which is the justice you willingly subject yourself to by being in these walls. I know you lot are used to arguing everything with everyone, but I'm not here to debate where my soul goes or doesn't go. I'm here to figure things out and actually help some people. For all I know, you're a suspect, but I'm treating you as a witness because I don't think you did anything. So unless you want me to treat you like most cities treat most Athar and just throw you straight into Calios, shut up please."
The guard takes a deep breath and shakes his head. "Woo, that's a lot of talking. Really takes the breath out of you. I have no idea how you can do that constantly. Anyways, I'd like a listing where we can reach you at if we further need you, since this kind sir now confirms your statement. We might not need you, or we might just."

Themis grumbles a little.
"I stay in Miltiades Triphosa's camp. Third tent from the left. Usually."

"Ok, you can go. See you later." She could hear the smirk in his voice.

Themis immediately turns on her heels and dashes off. She has seen too many cells from the inside to be eager to get a tour of another one.

"Yes. Can you please cover what was said? I know you said you had difficulty remembering, but anything helps."

"Ah..."
He hesitates.
"The man doesn't like elves-- pointy-ears. All because of that one who tried to blow us-- you-- up, I think. Something about statues, too. He didn't sound like an Athar to me."

"I see." The guard takes out a notepad and takes a note or two before slipping it back under his armor. "Well, then I think that's it. Have a good day."
The guard turns and walks away.
