True that, true that. *The Hinnael didn't seem startled by her appearance.* Never heard of the Vestran, neither. All of you smell like the grave? Not surprised. Very few of us. I smell of the grave because she follows me around. Vera gestures with her head and a faint black image fades in a step or two behind her. It is hard to tell the shape of the thing, but it seems much like Vera herself. It fades out soon after it appears.

*The Hinnael's canine eyes study the thing as best he can while it here.*
Quite a companion you got there. Makes for some interesting times, I'm guessing.

So, what are you doing in this place? Who do you work for? You seemed to be looking for or expecting me when you said "there you are".

*He grins back, an odd effect with his canine snout.*
You raised quite a ruckus back there. I was sent to talk to you, seeing as you cost the Guild a mindwitness and the cost of healing the other. They were curious as to what could drive off a black dragon and two of those ugly bastards.

Well, wouldn't have happened if they sent you in the first place instead of the arrogant dragon. Hopefully, that teaches the dumb brute to think. Mindwitness, huh? So that's what you call them. Tell me more about this Guild. Seems like an interesting group.

*He circles, like a dog would, before lying down, getting more comfortable.*
They didn't send him, exactly. He was on patrol, and stumbled across you. Brute seem to think everything bows down before him.
*He lets out a snorting laugh, showing what he thinks of that.*
Yea, that's what will call them. Nasty buggers. Cross between Illithids and Beholders.
The Guild...we're many things, really. An all inclusive group that lets everyone in, so long as they follow the rules. Attracts all sort of creatures, you can see.

She smiles.Oh yes, I certainly see that. You have a strange mix here. Well, whatever works.

Well, whatever works. *He laughs, a harsh, barking sound.* Not most. From what I've seen, it's the whole species. Even the metallic ones have a high-and-mighty, holier-than-thou attitude that is just as bad as the chromatic's blatant arrogance. *He shakes his head.* Not the most pleasant creatures to be around, that's for certian. Still, we don't turn anyone away because of race, so they're in. *He shrugs his shoulder, a rather odd gesture, considering half his torso is laying down like a dogs.* It seems to work quite well, strangly. Most of us are outcasts from our race, and it seems that any creature can work together under that.

Yet, you haven't seen a group of dragons bow to an Emperor before. Even a dragon can be taught humility, for the right people and with enough time. They start out as pains no matter what. Can't stop that. Outcasts... seems like a fun club. Probably hard to control.

I would pay a good pile of jink to see that. What kind of power does he command, to do that? True, they start as pains. Everyone starts out as pains. Many stay that way, too. *He lets out one of his barking laughs.* Not as hard as you might think. We got our factions, but they seem to know the only way to continue existing is by not killing each other en masse, so they all work together. For many of them, without the Guild, they have nothing.

Kronos Ur Draxa completely commands the power of fire. He's also the son of a Full-blood Vestran and Ledon, the God of Dragons. She laughsOh yes, I can agree with that. Many of them need to be silenced, too. She grinsThose with nothing fight all the harder for it.

Wouldn't want to tangle with him. *He chuckles* Definatly. So many are afraid to see it, but it's true. *He grins grimly.* That is the substance that bind the guild.

*He cocks his head to the side.*
Do I detect something less that liking for this Emperor?
*He echos her shrug.*
Nope, it isn't.
Glad you think so.
