How did I create my character? I started with a name, and not much of a personality. That got filled in interacting with the other posters. [CoF at Why my kind sir, I do believe I misunderstood you. Could you please repeat that statement, though in more simple terms? I am, alas, afflicted with a slow mind.C] I think (or like to think ), that she's like me in many ways, and this is the character closest to my heart. Would I want to trade with my character? She's a spellcaster with a kick-ass sword Who wouldn't want to be in her boots? Like I said, I think we share traits, but seeing what she encountered since I started playing her, I doubt I'd be very happy And Sat, the same goes for us as well: we could very well do without Jingzu's hate

Ok, I got a question: It isn't too interesting, but I want to know, so it qualifies for the curiosity thread.
Would you want to be your character, and why?
I will answer my own question later, I need to go sleep. Hmm...depends on which character, I guess. Shanel has been though hell and back, and I wouldn't take anything to go though what I put her though. Most of the Guild members are up to their necks in crap (both figurativly and literally, considering where they make their home) and none of them can fully trust anyone, so know. Taerlin's been though hell too. Chessa is a pretty strong fighter, well grounded, and has a good fun side, so I could be her. Tarot's a bit to dry for me to be, though having all those psionic powers would be fun. In other words - in omst cases no, in a few, maybe.

You forgot your worst one - Xealaz. His mere existence is torture Speaking of him... would I want to trade with Elfhame? Yes, I would. Call me weird, a spoiled, ungrateful brat if you'd like, but I would much prefer the elf's life over mine. Hell, like all characters here - he had it tough. Very tough. But if everything was exactly like it was from back then till now and everything in the future is still unclear - what would keep me? Even 32 years of absolute teenage depression can't match up to what elfy's life can make up for - great friends, some epic adventure (Hell, life is boring as it is - why do you think I roleplay? ) and some cool magical and martial ability. Considering he has seen a lot, done a lot, and is still going to do a lot, I'd happily take the loss and work out the gain myself. And much like Julia is to, er - well, jules , Elfy shares a lot of threads - except, well, he's supposed to be good-looking and I'm not, and he's got cool powers. Of course there is a little matter of a certain friend making it worse for me then. Point to you if you figure out who it is...

How did you create your character?Satorius wanted someone to play Yattara in the Graz'zt-story, and I was available at that moment. So a large part of her personality was already written, but I had enough freedom to adapt her. (And given that she's now got a mad-on for mortals, I quite like that freedom ) Would you want to be your character?Rather not, or else you would all be dead by now

Yeah, little old you. How many times did you elfnap elfy and tried to torture and corrupt him? Hmmm....to be honest, too many times to count. Of course, there was that one time I didn't just try, but succeded.... As for being Xealaz, the thing that started this near spam - Xealaz is my dark, twisted side, with some cool powers added in. So in a way, I am Xealaz, just as he is me. Though, truth be told, that can be said for everyones character, so... oooo, new question idea: What aspect of you does your character represent, or is your character just an extension of you?

Would I like to be my character: Definately not. Kaitan is almost never happy and can sinks into depressions. He nearly killed himself at least once. As for Toris...probably not. I haven't developed his personality much, but he doesn't seem happy either. I guess I just can't make happy characters.
What aspect of you does your character represent, or is your character just an extension of you?: Um... the violent 2/3rds of me. I am definately more happy than Kaitan. I guess he represents the "darker" side of me, and both him an Toris represent the vaguely lonely part of me.
Its odd...I started speaking differently on Messenger. Then Kaitan started to adopt the same sentence structure. Now I speak like that at times in real life.

Would I want to be my character? Uhm... I'll concentrate on Cat. Would I want to be her? Her life hasn't exactly been a party, especially the last twenty-two years of it. That is to say- it's either feast or famine, she's either high up on cloud nine, or deep down to the point of attempting suicide. She has been chased, in more than one sense even, by various demons- things have been done to her that I would never ever want to undergo. She's a complicated sort, part-good, part also slightly jealous and selfish- proud, self-willed, stubborn, and usually a pain. As Sat once said it "she's the kind of girl that could make any guy's hair turn white". Even so, I like her character, actually, but I don't think I like her life much. So, no, though I would love to have so many loyal friends and live in a world that could be as beautiful as Eluria, I wouldn't want to be in a place that could also be as dark. Cat is more helpful than I am, more open-minded than I am, and just generally wiser than I am, but I'll just have to learn from her. What aspect? Cat is very likely rather like me, she represents my need to be free and happy. Like me, she likes to see the beauty in all things, and respects and loves life. She is always telling people it will be alright, even though she herself can sink down into deep depressions from which she can't see a way out. She's not as cynical as I am though, and she's, as I said above, kinder and wiser than I am- and a lot braver too.

The Seven Deadly Sins are: - Pride
- Covetousness
- Lust
- Envy
- Gluttony
- Anger
- Sloth
The Seven Cardinal Virtues are: - Faith
- Hope
- Love / Charity
- Justice
- Prudence
- Temperance
- Fortitude
So, the question is- which sins, and which virtues do you have?

Sins:

Virtues:
Hope, Love/Charity, Justice, Fortitude
Of course, I wouldn't really know. You'd have to ask someone who knows me well.

Love / Charity I have, on occasion. Justice. Definatly have a strong sense of Justice. Of course, sometimes that mixes with Anger, so...*shrugs*

New question, because you can learn alot about a person from this: What is your favorite midieval weapon, and why?

Favorite medival weapon: Probably the longsword or bastard sword, followed by the longbow.
I like the longsword because it is a mix of speed and power. Extremes of power or speed, such as the warhammer and the dagger, aren't suitable in most situations.

The slim and deft longsword, because it has the childhood tales of chivalry and heroics and other such things attached to it.
What aspects of your character -?
Elfhame is me - anything that is happening to him happens to me. That has gotten so bad once that I couldn't stand to roleplay him anymore. So, every characteristic Elfhame has, I have. Pessimistic, easily offended, hating himself, loyal, etc... only he is probably more couragous than me and... he's gotten a few things stamped out that I hate about myself. And I even integrated that into him.
