In one of the streets not far from the library is an interesting little building. It looks more like it's grown somehow than built- none of the rooms are on the same floor, some hang out dangerously over the road, others look cramped between patches of roof and small bay windows. The windows are all different sizes, different kinds and colours of glass, and the wood and stones of the building are likewise patch-worky. The sign over the door squeeks in the wind. Both the name of the inn and the small picture of a Nightshade flower next to it are rather faded.
Evensong
Inside, there is one rather large common room, with several old tables and a few couches. An ancient-looking stone hearth against one wall warms the place. A mirror with a slight crack in the upper left corner hangs over it. The ceilings are rather low, with heavy beams in them. There is a long bar with bar stools, several shelves with bottles and boxes, and a small, a bit rickety elevated stage in one corner. Two stairs go up to the rooms, one half hidden behind the stage, the other in a corner near the door. A sign over the bar states all kinds of drinks are sold here, but no alcohol for minors.
A narrow door and a few steps up lead to the kitchen. There are a few more tables and chairs here, a sink, many many cupboards and all kinds of kitchen things. Dry herbs are hanging from pins in the beams. From here, yet another narrow winding staircase goes up to somewhere upstairs, and another goes down to the cellars. There is a door leading into the alley, and one leading to a dark hallway.
The hallway has a few steps going down, and connects the kitchen with the backrooms, where the innkeeper's family live. There are six rather small rooms: four bedrooms, a livingroom, and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms is used as an office and small library. The others contain a guest room, a small bed for Tirith, and Cat's hammock and closet, respectively. There are a few arm chairs and a small hearth in the livingroom, it's basically a room where the family can chill out and have some privacy from the guests.
Upstairs are a few bathrooms and seventeen bigger or smaller guestrooms, all up steps or down steps or winding stairs or hallways. Unoccupied ones have a key in the lock. They are all clean, with a bed, a desk, a chair, and a closet.
This inn serves some of the best food and drinks in town, but the most respectable members of society generally tend to avoid it, considering its ties to the Nightshade Corporation. It's recently passed into the hands of Catriona, an elf from out of town, who has decreed there is supposed to be no fighting in the tavern.
Of the seventeen rooms, only a few are taken at the moment. The occupants are listed below.
Elfhame
Aurane
Taur Guruthos
Mecrinus
Shanel
