The Faentaurian graveyard is seperated from the city proper by a low wall. It is a quiet place, except for the birds whistling happily in the trees all around. The graves are marked by small stone slabs, each ingraved with a name, date of birth and date of death, no more. A cat sneaks through the short grass, a breath of wind plays with the flowers growing on most of the graves. There are many old graves, indicating the age of the town, but also many rather fresh ones, indicating something else.
Meszel Trevain, his wife Ellisande and his son Auberon are buried near the far right corner, green locust, a small plant, growing on their graves. These slabs read: Meszel, son of Rhovan, July 7th 1013 - September 21st 1404. Ellisande, daughter of Mellinore, April 12th 1025 - March 2nd 1427. Auberon, son of Meszel, November 8th 1255 - September 21st 1404.

She stops for a moment at a small white stone for a 20-year-old, and winces. A small white flower forms from her hand and she puts it on the grave, then walks on towards the three stones in the far right corner. There she stands for a while, looking down at the slabs and the names. Three Trevains, last of the name...
