Twisted and dark... this place reminded him of the Eye. Home, in a way.
Sirrico slowly made his way through this world composed of shadows, moving around the deeper darkness of the negatively touched places from time to time.
He had no real destination at the moment... so he did as he often does when that is the case. He wandered.

*Azreal walks the Paths slowly, admiring the twisted darkness of it. He had wandered this plane for awhile, admiring it. He had to leave to hunt, because not many travelers walked the Paths...
...which is why he was surpized to see Sirrico, walking the paths as he often did, simply walking them. Azreal stops, making no effort to conceal himself.*

Sirrico walks on, not noticing the Pendrell at first. He mutters quietly to himself from time to time, growling once or twice. At one point, he stops and looks around.
His eyes rest on Azreal. He smiles wickedly and shakes his head before moving on, otherwise ignoring the Pendrell. For now, anyways.

*Azreal watches Sirrico. His face shows no emotions, his sunken eyes showing no life. He doesn't intend to do anything to this traveler. He had fed recently, he wasn't hungry. There wasn't any need to deal with this stranger.*

Sirrico walked on.
(Why didn't you stop?)
Not worth my time.
(How could you know?)
Sirrico shrugs. I don't. I don't care, either. Besides, there are problems with randomly attacking someone...
(Yes...) (Those fools, they hurt and bind us) (Stopping us from living) (Enslave us)
Hmph. Not much different from anyone else, really. The strong make the rules, the weak follow them. If you don't like it, you get stronger and you change the rules.
(Are you saying you are weak and they were strong?)
I was then. Things have changed now.
(...yes...)
He stops when he notices what look like fortresses in the twisted skies in the distance. He set his gauntlet on his hilt and laughed, shaking his head. People sure are theatrical. Flying fortresses... he laughed again.
(Hard to attack from the ground.)
Doesn't matter. It'll be dragged down like everything else in the end.

*A pack of Ratayas with a Sjack'gix on patrol notices Sirrico. They begin to lazily spiral around high, high above him, out of the range of most forms of magical attacks. It doesn't seem that they are in any way menacing him, merely curious.*

Sirrico watches the creatures with his swirling red eyes at first. Not long afterwards, his head tilts downwards, and he seems to be trembling.
To those with very sharp ears, they might be able to just barely hear that he is actually laughing very, very quietly.

*Bored, the patrol moves on, flying towards the Citadel. One lone madman could be dealt with if the Citadel knew he was there, and there was no need for them to attack this loner.
Not far away, Azreal watches, the same lack of expression on his face. He can pick up Sirrico's laughter. As always, his fathers nightmares cannot see him - it is not something he understands, but unless they are near to him he is invisible to them. This stranger piques his curiousity, though. Not many walk to the Citadel of Shadow and stand there, laughing.*

Sirrico watches the creatures move on and laughs again, this time out loud. He shakes his head, grinning.
Worthless maggots.
He walks on, under the islands if he must. He didn't care for them... he wanted something else.

*Azreal follows silently, wondering what this stranger is doing. Perhaps he has a death wish.
A few creatures notice Sirrico's approach. Untilligent nightmares, they look like horribly twisted wolves the size of horses. Each one's tail is a bundel of serpents, and they have misshapen tendrils growing from random places on their bodies. They aren't under the command of the Citadel's armies, but stay around to attack intruders. They approach Sirrico cautiously, examining this new creature.*

Sirrico glances at the creatures, but doesn't really do anything about them, yet. He just walks through and among them, heading ever onwards on a straight path. His eyes watch them, and he waits for one of them to give him a hint of an excuse.

*The excuse is given not moments later. One of the creatures hunkers down and opens its mouth, letting loose a fountian of heavily corrosive acid that will land where Saerid is. Two of the other creatuers follow suit, and the remaining four begin spreading out, waiting for his reaction.*

Sirrico grins, and is quickly cloaked by magical darkness. Moments later, that darkness charges one of the wolf creatures, katana slashing towards the thing's head. As he drew close, there was something in that darkness that pulled at the strength of the creature, and any others that enter into the absolute dark of the spell. It saps at their strength.
The acid passed through Sirrico for the most part, though some of it did hit him. Most of it seemed to not hurt him, while some did indeed leave burn marks. He ignored the pain, however, and carried on, attacking as if he was in some sort of mad frenzy.

*The creature he struck takes the wounds easily enough, but each strikes lets out a wave of some dark energy. It travels out of the wounds and towards Sirrico, seeking to sap his strenght.
One of the creatures leaps into the darkness, not bothered by the loss of sight. It lurches foward, and two of its tendrils shoot foward, each one tipped in a wicked bony blade.*
