Jakobim jumps as if he hadn't noticed the man, despite the fact that the man is directly in front of him.
He takes a seat.
"Yeah, ah... wine. Red. Please."
The fact that he just ate breakfast doesn't seem to bother him.

"Sure thing."
The man grabs a bottle from under the bar and a wine glass, which he quickly fills. He slides it over the bar towards Jakobim.
"You aren't with that wizard, are you?"

Jakobim shakes his head.
"No, no. Why?"
He sips the wine.

"No reason, you came in with him, kind of."
The waitress stops by the bar to collect a tray of tea and coffee cups, which he starts stacking on there obediently.

"Oh.
"Do you know anything of the man? I'm thinking of taking him up on his offer."

"Oh. you're one of those adventuring types?"
He finishes with the tray and she carries it off. The barman hangs over the bar a little to speak a bit more privately to Jakobim.
"Don't know the dude personally. They say they're good for their word though."

"You could say that."
Jak nods.
"Good to know. Thanks."

"You're welcome."
He pours himself a cup of coffee.

Jakobim quickly downs the rest of the wine, drops the requisite number of coins on the bar, and walks out.

The requisite number is eight coppers. The barman swallows his coffee.
"Thanks, see you sir."
The streets are foggy, as usual.

Jakobim heads in the direction of the location specified by the Magister (that is, if he knows where it is).

The Turris Hecateï is not hard to find. It is a really tall tower with a red light that shines dimply in the mist. You can't really see the tower, but the light is always there. It is a fairly long walk though.

Jak adjusts his gear and heads off in the direction of the light.

Ten minutes and many misty streets later, Jakobim happens to be crossing a square with an old and ou-of-use well in the centre, when suddenly someone dashes out of the fog, screaming. It is a man, and he yelps "Murder! Mayhem! Mother!" Not far from Jakobim (he is still a hazy figure in the mist at some ten feet away from him), the man trips over something and tumbles headfirst into the pavement.
