Hiyo!
My PCs have just finished the campaign. It's something to be proud of, because it's the first time anyone's actualy got all the way to the end of one of mine. Of course, they did have to take up the Black Sword (really big evil artifact) to do it, and it ended right on the note of the victorious paladin deciding to keep the sword. I privately laugh at the mentality of this, because spread across the board every paladin would be able to be converted by simply offering them a really shiny metal stick in exchange for their souls. But I regress.
My next campaign is based in Eberron, the wonderful world of industrialized magic. I haven't played with this module before (aside from one short 'tryout' game before I brought the book. My card shop dealers are like that.), so I'd like to ask if anyone else has had any truely wonderful experiences / ideas in this module, and general advice on the world itself. Thanks in advance!

Hey, Thanqol. Good news and bad news. Bad news is, I think I may be the only person on the board to own the Eberron books, and I've never once actually played a game of DnD in my life. Good news is, I'm chalk full of ideas and extrodinarily talkitive, so I'll happily give you my thoughts on Eberron. My best advice (seeing as I'm at school and don't have the books with me) is to do things that emphasise the uniquness of the world. Throw in things at the beginning of the champaign that make it clear that this is NOT your standard DnD world. To aid that, I would personally start it in Sharn, city of towers, and would highly reccomend getting that book. You can take it anywhere from there, though I would stay on the main continent for awhile. Make heavy use of the creatures found in the Eberron campagin setting books, make NPCs that are shifters, warforged, changeling, and that psionic race who's name I can never quite spell but they start with a K. That's all I have for my initial post. I'll look at my books when I get home, and give you some more thoughts later on.

Thanks! (For the reference, I know what it's like to be a D&D junkie without acess to players, but that's what boards like these are for, eh?)
I do indeed have the Expanded Psionics Handbook, which I've been dying to fill a campaign with for ages.
The City of Towers indeed looks like an interesting place to set storys in, but is there any place in particular I should lead it to after that? The Mournlands is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and historical places in the setting. Have any thoughts on the secret of who set off the Spellbomb, other then the Lord of Blades? I'm planning to make all the evidence point to him, but he didn't actualy end up doing it. Alternatives?
