*Satorius nods and holds out his hand. When he recieves the ring, he slips it on.*
I understand.

The man nods.
"Thank you."
He pushes the small door open and holds it open for Satorius.

You're welcome, sir.
*He smiles and walks through. Things seemed to be going well for now. He had a sense that there was deep sadness in this place, though. Much of it connected to the name "Trevain."*

The man leads Satorius through the streets towards the Palace. The sun in shining, it's a beautiful day and the people of Faentaure seem to be mostly relaxed. They bow their heads respectfully at the Battlepriest and glance suspiciously at the stranger, but other than that, they just go ahead with what they were doing. The priest walks with Satorius in silence for a while, going through the complete maze of streets, but after a time, he sighs deeply.
"You must be a brave man to take up such a mission."

*Satorius takes in everything he sees, as per usual, his eyes catching everything and analyzing it, as well as his ears. As per usual, really.
He shrugs when he hears the man, still following behind him.*
I do what I can for those I love. Bravery and courage is not really part of it.

"Ah, love... Young Miss Trevain, as was, is not very much loved here, I'm afraid."
He sighs again and walks on, deep in thought.

She was once, and even the greatest sin can be undone in time.
*He continues to follow, thinking for now*

The man nods thoughtfully.
"I knew her brother. I trained him. Was going to be a good man, that boy. Here we are."
Indeed, they are- quite suddenly they are at the gates of the Palace. He walks up to the guards and speaks a few words.

*Satorius nods*
Many lives are lost that shouldn't be.
*He waits for them to address him again*

The man comes back and smiles a sad smile.
"No life should be lost."
He beckons Satorius to follow and he walks into the Palace.

*He decided not to comment on that, considering their views on the natural cycles of life and death would lead the man into his own thoughts later anyways. Besides, he didn't feel like it right now.
He follows the man into the palace.*

After a while, Themin comes running after him, leads Satorius to the gates, removes the ring when he is well out of town, and the gates close behind him. Aman watches the strange man walk through the city towards the gates, shortly followed by Themin Guir. Finally someone interesting, and those boring officials have to chase him out! Why do they always have to do that? This one didn't attack the city, like that other man, the one with the swords who killed Lady Ellisande. This new stranger looks to be more fun than that Brightshield-man too, who stopped by a few times, mostly for Lady Ellisande's house. He sighs, thrusting his hands into his pockets. Boring! He kicks desolately at an imaginary pebble, then cheers up some. Even with the stranger leaving the city, he can still follow him for a while. Grinning, he makes his way to the gate, where a quick exchange with the guards lets him out of the city. He keeps his distance, and follows Satorius, staying behind him.

The guards watch the stranger go, and give the boy a warning to be very careful out there.

The guard rolls his eyes.
"Just look after yourself, kid. I don't want to be the one to have to break it to your mom."
