Zane turned and glanced at the woman with icy blue eyes and smiled, his black hair drifting down into his face and being brushed aside.
'Hello, and welcome to Eluria. We have several places available, from every section of the city.'
Zane pulls out several paintings of houses in the area, one of which is the Grissom estate, another a much smaller estate, and many many places all around Asphodelos.

Thank you.
*She examines the paintings, putting aside the Grissom estate and the smaller estate. She rejects the houses in Asphodeleos.*
How much for these? Individually.
And how about viewing orders?

'You're welcome.'
Zane calmly watches, mentally going over the prices in his head.
'The mansion is about 150,000 gp, while the Grissom Estate is 480,000 gp, including the 150 some odd guards, though keeping them on requires pay. Both can be payed in monthly installments worked out through negotiations, at a 10% interest.
Certainly. Anytime is good for us.'

We will go and view them now, then consider which one is closer to our needs.
Oh, the larger place. What is the cost of the guards? And I think we may wish to meet the guard commander.

Zane stands and puts the paintings away.
'Ok then. Follow me, milady.'
He walks towards Caleria as he speaks.
'That can be arranged. The generally accepted fee for a guard is 3 to for 4 sp per day, which comes out to a balance of 45 to 60 gp per day for all 150 guards, which comes out to 1,350 gp to 1,800 gp a month. You can, of course, lay a number of them off if that is not within your price-range.'

The three of them approach the Exchange, and enter. They aproach Zane at his desk, but he is currently busy with another client. They stop and wait at a discreet distance.
At one point, Marnix is sent out for refreshments.

Zane finishes up with the client, closing up a deal. He glances at the others and stands, heading over to where they are instead of making them come to him.
'Hello again. Have you made your decision, or do you need more time?'

*Thoringel nods.*
No, we have decided to take the Grissom estate, as everything there seemed to be adequate to our needs.
We will need a few days - no more than three - to ensure the availability of the liquid funds. Do you require a deposit, or will our word be sufficient?

'Excellent choice, sir. As there are five others that have showed interest in the estate, we require a deposit of 5,000 gp. This ensures the others that you have laid claim on the estate and are serious in your decision to buy it.'

*Thoringel nods. He presents a letter of credit to the value of 100,000 jink from the Bank of the Nether in Sigil.*
Please take the required deposit from these funds.

Zane takes the letter and looks it over. Satisfied, he takes a quick note on something.
'Very good, sir. The place will be open to you. See you in a few days, hopefully.
Bear in mind that if this is a waste of our time, we keep the deposit. Good day.'
Zane turns and walks back to his desk.

Thoringel enters the Exchange and makes his way to Zane's desk, the others following. He waits for Zane to attend him, a piece of paper in one hand.

Zane looks up from his work and holds his hand out for the paper, fairly sure what it is.
'Welcome back, sir. I take it this is the payement for the Grissom Estate?'
