It is.
*Thoringel proffers the letter of credit, for a sum of one million jink.*
The outstanding balance was, if memory serves, 475,000 gold pieces, so that should be sufficient to cover the balance. Please have any surplus funds fowarded to the estate.
When may we take possession?

'475,000 gp balance, 480,000 gp total, yes. Yes, it is more than enough. I shall, sir.'
He pulls open a drawer and puts the paper into it. The spell on the drawer reactives when closed and Zane smiles at the man as he pulls out a deed.
'Since the last 5,000 was from the same account and perfectly reliable money, you may take possession immediatly.'
He hands the Grissom estate deed to Thoringel.
'Happy to do business with you, sir. Have a pleasant stay in Eluria.'

Thoringel takes the deed and bows. he leaves the Exchange and heads towards his new home.
On the way out of the Bazaar, he pays a young boy 1 silver to run a message to Alathea in the Evensong, telling her to join him at home.

Mecrinus arrives at the Exchange.
Although he and Amar had spoken about their accommodation, they had not really settled on anywhere or discussed how big their house would be, or if they needed staff.
Given the pay levels at the Centre did not include enough for accommodation, he came here to look through the vailable properties in Asphodeleos and Veneficius. He would not accept anything in the lower-class or rundown areas. He might be able to make do, but he did not want to force Amar into poor conditions, and as for the baby...
He spent some time at the desk dealing with property matters, getting several properties in a wide range of price brackets.
Time to go back and show this lot to Amar. He thanked the attendant and went on his way.

Alexander sorts through his urgent and personal stack, looking through the many letters that had come in today. When he sees one with Rumerin's trademark handwriting, he smiles and opens it. It wasn't very often Rumerin sent him much of anything. But then, they weren't exactly friends. Just reluctant partners from time to time.

Alexander,
To be perfectly blunt, Councillor Lunaria is planning a genocide spell on humans and he's got all the ingredients. As this is rather bad for both our businesses, not to mention our lives, I suggest we do something about it.
Please do not inform either Lunaria or Rift that you know this. You do not know this from me and have never received this letter, obviously.
Have a good feast of light and happy new year.[/i]
*When Alexander has read through the letter, it bursts into cold flames, and a blink of an eye later it disappears altogether.*

Alexander quickly calculates the financial losses that his business would take if all Humans suddenly died, including himself. The losses were staggering, to say the least, and he doubted any of the businesses he owned would survive such a thing. Most people would be too shocked at the sudden disappearance of all Humans to wish to pick things up, then they would probably go to a slower pace of working, and so forth and so on.
No, that won't do at all.

Alexander just finished writing up a few orders and had almost finished with a set of calculations when it happened.
When it passed, he sighed. He had lost count. He goes back to what he was doing, while taking some time to write the word "Urgent" on a few of the orders.

The Warforged Ark and the gnome Tylis approach the excange and knock on the door, and wait for a responce. Ark stands perfectly still, while Tylis lights his pipe and puffs it as he waits.

The door swings open, apparently unlocked. It was, after all, a public establishment. All were welcome to enter for trade.
Some of the merchants walking into the store raise an eyebrow at the two, but they usually just shake their head and move on. One or two stay behind and start hawking their wares to the two.

Tylis has to drag Ark away from a man selling cheap "Holy Relics". When they get inside, Tylis asks someone "Who do we speak too about purchasing property?"

The merhcant with the holy relics happily follows and continues to preach the good faith. Which consists of heavy donations and objects that just need to be bought...
The red haired merchant on the other side of the small window points over to the side, towards an occupied desk.
"You'll want to talk to that guy, over there. Zane."

" - ahem, anyway, my assosiate and I are looking to purchase a property where we can set up a lab. Do you have a place in Veneficus or Pygmalion we can purchase? It has to be a fairly large building, preferably with a single open room on the main floor, or a completely empty building without walls or floors inside but high enough to reach slightly above the skyline. In a nutshell, we need a big place with an attic window that has the sun shine directly through at least once a day. Can you help us here?"

The black haired, blue eyed gentleman raises an eyebrow, his robes ruffling slightly as he moved his hand towards the drawers of the desk. He pulls out a number of documents and brushes his hand across them, thinking.
"A very strange request. I can't think of anywhere in Pygmalion that would fit that description, but I know of a place in Veneficus that does. Part of the roof was blown off by an experiment that went awry. Most of the magical residue has been removed. All told, that place goes for about 10,000 gp, or 20,000 Jink."
He pulls open one of the files and turns it around to face the two buyers. The place is indeed large, though there are signs of disrepair here and there.
