The man opens the door, gesturing for Yvocca to step in. Beyond the threshold was a fairly plain room, with an elegant desk at one end and several windows that looked over parts of the bazaar. There was a fireplace for the cold times of winter, and several awards and paintings on the walls.
Behind the desk sat the man himself. Alexander, the Emperor. He didn't seem very imposing at all, really. If anything, he just appeared to be a man past his prime. Most of his hair is completely gray. He was looking over a number of documents rather intently, saying a brief hello and gesturing for her to take a seat. He did not seem interested in talking to her just yet, apparently just finishing up on something.

Yvocca steps in and looks around the room. Well, this didn't look very impressive. If anything, it puts her at ease. She half expected everything to be made of gold, if you hear the stories. Mr Trevain is a lot scarier than this man. Especially if you haven't done your homework.
She returns the greeting and sits in the chair he gestured at, politely waiting for him to finish up. As she waits, wonders- what race would this man be? She has heard a lot on the streets. Some say he is a Devil. Others claim he's a Modron. People whisper he is native to the Elemental Plane of Gold. To be honest, he looks Human to her. Can he be a powerful wizard? Is it true he owns half the city?

Alexander sets down his pen and pushes his paperwork to the side. He finally looks up at Yvocca. In a matter of moments, his blue eyes seemed to have taken her apart and calculated her worth in monetary value to him, completely assessing her full set of skills and the limits of her abilities. His face remained impassive, though he did make a note in one of his books. "Yvocca Shering, was it? I hear you have something interesting to offer."

Yvocca is shaken from her thoughts when he actually speaks.
"Right. I wanted to discuss the situation in Eluria with you, Mr Alexander. Just now in the lobby I witnessed a man trying to blow up your exchange because you employ Elves. He was rapidly dispatched, of course, but still, you undoubtedly realise the situation is serious, both humanitarian and, in your case, financially of course. I work for Mr Satorius Trevain. We are trying to sort out this situation. Would you be interested in having a hand in such a scheme?"

Alexander leaned back into his comfortable looking high-back chair and smiles, setting his arms on the armrests to the sides. "That depends on what you plan to do, Mrs. Shering. Do you have a clear and precise plan of action?"

Yvocca smiles.
"Yes and no. The exact plan depends on who will join our initiative and the resources they bring in. The clear part, at this stage, is that I am trying to convince the powerful people of Eluria, that is yourself, the Church, the schools, various proprietors of businesses in Elysium and so on, to join. After this, we will set up a meeting and discuss the best course of action that we, as a joint venture so to speak, will take, with as an ultimate and hopefully swift-to-realise goal, the complete cessation of racial hostilities and the return of relative peace to our city. We intend for every partner in this venture to have a say in the plan. However, if you want to get a general idea of it, right now we are still thinking along the lines of propaganda, if you will. Promotional material."

"Are all of Satorius' students as ambitious as you?" Alexander asked, a little amused. He was smiling, though the smile never touched the calculations working away furiously in his eyes. "Just what are your ambitions?"

Yvocca tilts her head a little to the side, a gesture she couldn't help but pick up from the various Trevains she spends all day every day with.
"My personal ambitions concern the continued wellfare of Eluria and its people, sir. That is what I am striving for now and that is my project for the future."

"Hm." Alexander watched her, running his delicate fingers across his chin, leaning to the side in his leather chair. Both options held some risk, but one could pay off big later... while the other will have some problems later. Besides, several of his employees are Elves. They'd be overjoyed at his loyalty.
"Consider it done." The man said, moving his hand away from his and to the side some, a gesture of compliance. "I'll give my full support."

Yvocca's mouth all but falls open, but instead it breaks into a radiant smile.
"Thank you, sir. I will let you know the details of the meeting as soon as possible."
She stands and curtsies.

"Have it sent to my secretary, please. Good day, miss Shering." Alexander said, turning his attention back to his work.

"Of course. Good day, sir."
She curtsies again and leaves the office, heads back to the main room, then leaves the Exchange. Two down... whereto now? She would prefer not to talk to the Corporation... she saunters off to visit the Elurian Herald.
